Both teams were strong on the mound on Tuesday, but the Lions was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the Bruins on Tuesday. Nathan Bingham started the game for the Bruins and recorded 22 outs.
A double by Riley Sinema in the seventh inning was a positive for the Bruins.
Jordan Draper got the win for the Lions. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out 11. Trey Hiatt threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Hiatt recorded the last out to earn the save for the Lions.
Bingham took the loss for the Bruins. He surrendered one run on four hits over seven and a third innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Conner Bell, Erik Bawden, and Sinema each collected one hit to lead the Bruins.
Tayce Sanderson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lions in hits. the Lions was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Gage Williams had the most chances in the field with 11.
