The Bruins win the contest against the Pioneers on Tuesday, 8-4
The Pioneers got things moving in the first inning. Tyson Eagar doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Brody Job led the the Bruins to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He surrendered four runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out four. TJ Crossett and Nathan Bingham entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Bingham recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bruins.
Hayden Jacoson took the loss for the Pioneers. He went four innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out three.
The Bruins saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Drew Lancaster and Crossett each had multiple hits for the Bruins. Crossett and Lancaster each collected two hits to lead the Bruins.
Dylan Coe went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Pioneers in hits.
