Girls Varsity Wrestling · Girls Wrestling places 5th in first ever UHSAA State Tournament

Lillian Spieth wins a state championship at the first-ever UHSAA Girls Wrestling Championships.
      Coach Maren Stafford and Pomai Betham led the lady bruins to a 5th place state finish at the inaugural UHSAA girls 1a, 2a, 3a, & 5a combined state championships. The event was held on Wed, February 17th at Mountain View High School. With over 30 schools competing the lady bruins managed to put all of their 5 wrestlers on the podium. Jaena Felix finished 6th, Isla Baeza & Andrea Patino took 4th, Eliza Herring finished 3rd, Zariah Power finished 2nd, and Lillian Spieth was our first girls state wrestling champion.
