Multiple Teams · MVHS Girls Basketball to take on 2-seed Farmington in second round of playoffs

In the fifth different sport this year, Mountain View is scheduled to take on Farmington in the state playoffs. The Bruins have gotten the best of the Phoenixes for the most part this year.  In October, the number 16 seeded MVHS Girls Soccer team upset number 2 seed Farmington 1-0 in the second round of the playoffs on their way to a semi-final finish. In cross country, Farmington overtook MVHS in both the boys and girls championship races. In November, MVHS Volleyball (2 seed) beat Farmington (1 seed) 3 sets to 1 in the state championship game. In January, MVHS Wrestling took down the grapplers from Farmington in a duel meet 41-30. This history sets the stage for an epic girls basketball game tonight at Farmington High School.

The Lady Bruins (11-12) are seeded 18 and beat number 15 seeded Box Elder 62-42 to advance to the second round. They will now face the number 2 seeded Farmington Phoenix (19-2.) They are ready to perform as a team.” Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT. Admission is $6 for adults, and $4 for students and senior citizens. Farmington High School is located at 548 West Glovers Lane, Farmington, Utah 84025.
