Mountain View Volleyball wins State Championship PC UHSAA

Orem, UT: The number 2 Mountain View High School Bruins beat the number 1 Farmington Phoenix to win the 5A UHSAA Volleyball Championships held at Utah Valley University inside the UCCU Center Saturday evening. The Bruins took the first set, 25-23. The Phoenix answered back with a 25-14 set to tie things up. The Bruins again took the lead, winning the third set 25-21, then dominated in the fourth, 25-14, to win the state championship. The Bruins finish the year 27-5.

The Bruins have previously won two UHSAA volleyball championships, one in 1980, the first year MVHS opened, and later in 1982. The Mountain View Athletic Department has won 87 UHSAA State Championships in boys and girls sports. The last championship was 2014 in Boys Tennis.
